WHAT IS AN OVERSEAS RADIOGRAPHY PLACEMENT WITH WORK THE WORLD?

A radiography placement abroad is a clinical placement you undertake in the radiography department of a low-resource hospital in the developing world. We cater to radiotherapists too.

You’ll see exactly how different radiography abroad can be. What’s more, you’ll get all sorts of experience with practices and conditions you’ve never seen.

You choose the destination you want to travel to, and then tell us about your clinical interests. We’ll then completely customise your radiography placement to suit you.

You’ll help scan and diagnose unfamiliar conditions, see how sociocultural factors affect the manner in which local staff go about their practice, and learn techniques like developing X-rays on film.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS of experiencing radiography abroad?

Our placements are specially designed to set you apart. The experience gives you a head start on all the other radiography students and graduates who’ll be competing in the job market alongside you.

On one of our radiography placements abroad, you’ll:

  • Expand your clinical knowledge and skill set
  • Develop your confidence and resourcefulness
  • Build your personal and professional network
  • Sharpen your verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Become more attractive to employers

You’ll be in the hospital from Monday to Friday, which leaves your evenings and weekends free to explore whichever country you’ve chosen to visit.
