I really wanted to do my overseas placement. At first, I wanted to do it through my university, but for several reasons, that wasn't possible. That’s how I found Work the World

First of all. The website made it easy to navigate and to find all the important information. It was clear what options you had, what the price was, what the next steps were, etc.

The vibe here is so nice. It’s like you’re living together with all your friends.

We all became so close in no time. It’s nice having people going through the same experience and exchanging stories. After placement, we do lots of fun stuff, like going to the shops, going out for dinner, doing karaoke, going to football games, going on safari, etc.

The team is amazing. Everybody is so friendly, helpful, thoughtful, funny and sweet. I loved having them around and chatting with them.

You definitely can’t compare these two healthcare systems. The facilities and equipment here are very limited, but I found it interesting how they still managed to do some procedures as we do.

After placement, we mostly went to Woodberry, Hug a Mug, and Slipway. Some evenings we all went out for dinner together, which was really fun. Another weekend we did a safari, a bicycle tour, and some of us went to Zanzibar. As much as I loved going to placement, the weekend activities were always the highlight of the week.

On placement, I saw my first-ever live birth. It was so beautiful. And during our free time, we went on safari. The driver, the safari itself, the accommodation… Everything was just wonderful.
