We sipped tea amongst endless plantations, got amazing views from Little Adam’s Peak in Ella, snorkelled and enjoyed the sunshine in Trincomalee

We stayed in a village, just over 100km west of Kathmandu, just over 2,000m altitude and about an hour from the Chinese border.

The healthcare system was similar to the NHS, making it easy to understand wha. But, the cultural differences were vast, making it an extraordinarily interesting experience.

The lack of understanding but pure appreciation from the patients, even though we did very little for them, still astounds me. I even got to be the doctor for the week under supervision!

Working in these hospitals made me simultaneously angry & passionate. Angry at the lack of resources & passionate about wanting to make a difference
