Kathmandu and beyond

Under the watchful eye of the majestic Himalayan Mountains, Kathmandu is the wellspring of Nepal’s history and culture. In Kathmandu Buddhist temples come alive with the sound of prayer, while fervent bargain hunters haggle for the best prices in the lively markets. The bars and clubs in Thamel make for an excellent night out and pocket-picking monkeys in nearby temples are another story altogether. When you inevitably head beyond the city boundaries you’ll uncover an impressive selection of things to see and do. The world’s highest bungee jump, paragliding through the mountains, elephant safaris and white water rafting are just the start.

Upon arrival at the airport we’ll greet you with open arms and whisk you off to our private, security guarded house located in the east of Kathmandu. The property is huge and has beautiful carvings decorating the exterior. The rooftop patio is a student favourite on sunny days and you’ll often spot wild monkeys chasing one another across the rooftops below. Our Program Manager and their assistant will provide first-class support on the ground in Kathmandu. They’re on call 24 hours a day to make sure your placement goes as you expect it to. Our talented in-house chef will prepare your meals, including our now famous weekly BBQs held in the garden.
